Understanding your child's vaccination schedule
7 Hills Health Editorial Team · April 2, 2026
Uganda's childhood immunization schedule is spaced out for a reason — it matches when a baby's immune system is ready to respond to each vaccine, and when they're most vulnerable to specific diseases. Missing a dose doesn't mean starting over, but it does mean catching up as soon as possible rather than waiting for the next scheduled visit. Keep your child's vaccination card safe and bring it to every visit, including ones for unrelated illnesses — it's the easiest way for any provider to spot a gap.
